Without Debate or Pause

Forever – is composed of Nows –
‘Tis not a different time –
Except for Infiniteness –
And Latitude of Home –

From this – experienced Here –
Remove the Dates – to These –
Let Months dissolve in further Months –
And Years – exhale in Years –

Without Debate – or Pause –
Or Celebrated Days –
No different Our Years would be
From Anno Dominies –

– Emily Dickinson

. . . . .

Ambiguous and abstruse
as the supposition may be,
time is one of the most precious
and valuable aspects of life.
This present moment is what counts.
It can not be measured by the clock.
The breadth of a single moment
measures the meaning of every life.
This Now must be treasured
and celebrated always for its
each and every glorious instant.
